From Dan Doherty of StrikebackUSA
If it looks like a clown... I was trying to determine if there was a profession that had a disproportionate amount of drug abuse by comaprison. We have all heard of high divorce rates in one field as compared to another. There are even stats on suicides per profession or occupation.
As I searched I noticed something strange.
Conspicuously absent in Google search results is the phrase “drug use among U.S. politicians” See for yourself. I find it highly unlikely that Google does not have any documents pertaining to this search. Are you trying to tell me Marian Barry, Ted Kennedy (any Kennedy) , Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and a slew of other U.S. pols have escaped the much vaunted search engine that is Google? Let me be the first to catalogue the phrase and submit it then!
There is a long running battle between Mayor Thomas Menino of Boston and the Boston Firefighter’s Union. This comes in the wake of two firefighters dying in the line of duty due to the roof of a building collapsing and a very convenient arrest of a firefighter for drug use while in uniform. Amid all the sensationalism the public is being led astray.
Menino and his people are trying to force drug testing onto Boston’s Bravest. This in and of itself is not controversial (except that it is in violation of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments.) What the Firefighters are resisting is the unilateral decision to make random urinalysis mandatory. Things of this nature are settled via collective bargaining. I am not going to get into the intricacies of contract negotiations suffice it to say the firefighters want something for the relinquishments of their civil rights.

I am no singer but I think this tune is worth vocalizing. It is sung to the "Spiderman Theme" song. I will be looking for some singers later today and will download the results. Feel free to sing or hum it while you go through your day.

Gets da Boot! A Valentines Day treat for Americans! Headlines are showing Hillary Clinton’s campaign is in turmoil. There have been shakeups in the upper echelon of Clinton’s campaign staff. From the Wall Street Journal’s Monica Langley and Amy Chozick.
Some Hispanic leaders had written to Mrs. Clinton that it would be "troubling to many" if Ms. Solis Doyle, the first Latina to run a presidential campaign, was removed because of primary losses that were other people's fault. The campaign urged Ms. Solis Doyle, whose parents and siblings emigrated from Mexico, to state publicly that she wasn't forced out. Ms. Solis Doyle told reporters: "This is my decision, my choice; my timing....There was no pressure."
I feel your pain hermano.

We remember On the eve of Mitt Romney suspending his presidential bid I turned my attention to a newsletter sent to me by Yale educated attorney Nelson Baker. With Romney leaving the race many conservatives are contemplating national suicide by voting for B.J Clinton's wife or allowing the nation to be killed slowly by not voting at all. I hear so many people saying they will not vote for Mc Cain. They say Mc Cain is not a "true" conservative. Maybe so but Hillary is a true communist (socialist) and Obama is a true Afro-Centric anti American. "Yes we can" make friends with Farrakhan and Fidel and Chavez and Ahmadinijad!
Hillary would say the same except her answer would be more "subtle and nuanced." We are at war with people that seek the destruction of our way of life. This is no time to be blunt!
I'm pretty sure there is something in the Bible about the "Serpent being more subtle and he did beguile Eve." No matter Barack and Hillary hereafter known as "Barillary" are not religious, at least not in the Christian sense of the word.
I'm sure we are all familiar with the term "Library Angels." The term tries to explain how a researcher finds a book just laying out on a table that the researcher walks past on his way to find the book he is looking for. Often times the "Library Angels" put a book in your path that you didn't even know you were looking for.
